Chair /shelf

Design / Reseach / UX

Produced by Amor de Madre

Nonna (grandmother in Italian) was born 25 years ago.
In 1998, as part of my final degree project, I developed a stackable chair, able to go from a chair to a shelf in a very simple way. And a free tool assembly, that required not even an Allen key.
I made 4 prototypes that remained for personal use. During all these years, they have moved from my parents' apartment to other places and cities where I have been living and growing as a person and designer. Only the guests who came to visit became users of these prototypes, and many of them encouraged me to mass produce them.
